The white season

 in the pale mountains

The impression the Dolomites make on visitors is anything but pale. Not even in winter. Because now snow-sure pistes, untouched slopes, romantically frozen lakes, and adventurous toboggan runs attract the whole family!

Skiing

South Tyrol’s ski resorts are well worth a look, especially the strongholds of Val Gardena and Badia. But also, the family-friendly Funes, Gitschberg-Jochtal and the well-known Plan de Corones near Brunico, the nearby Plose near Bressanone and the largely snow-sure Obereggen half an hour away are worth a detour to wedel down the slopes!

Winter hiking

Deceleration for sporty natures, with snowshoes or without. The snow-covered winter landscape of South Tyrol simply enchants everyone. Varied tours guarantee a new adventure every day.

Tobogganing

South Tyrol has a number of natural toboggan runs that are great fun for the whole family: Funes is only a stone’s throw away, Plose and Valles are also not far away, and for the very little ones, the space in front of the chalet Am Wiesenweg is enough for blissful slides on the white carpet.

On the road

The Advent feeling is only really cosy at the Christmas market. The “Klausner Weihnacht” in Chiusa is one of the most traditional Christmas markets in South Tyrol, but there are more. Each Christmas market has its own atmosphere that sets it apart from the others.
